I know this is not a movie critic blog so I will get back to what the blog is about. I am focused on players who are so good that they could win 300 games in their career. Tim Lincecum is one of those potential guys. Last night he showed once again why he is a star in this league. No matter the situation he always remains cool and he beat the Cards in 7 strong innings striking out 8. Surprisingly he gave up an earned run, which is a rarity. Lincecum picked up win #4 of the season and moved his career record to 41-17.
On the hitting end of things a couple of my favorite vets added to their homerun numbers. Vlad Guerrero hit his 2nd of the season and career #409. Andruw Jones hit 2 more homers to give him 6 on the season (glad I picked him up off waivers in my fantasy league) and 394 of his productive career. Only six more to go.
How bout those Padres they just keep on winning. Guess that happens when you add a veteran like Matt Stairs!!!
