Albert is on fire

You can only keep a power hitter like Albert Pujols down for so long, eventually he will get his bat going and the opposition will pay dearly. Yesterday the Cubs did just that as big Albert hit #'s 10,11,12 of the year and he now has 378 career homers. He is now just 322 away from 700 and just 122 away from the Hall Of Fame plateau of 500.

The only one of my pitchers that picked up another "W" on their way to a potential 300 career win mark was Jon Lester of the BoSox. Lester always seems to bring his best to the mound and yesterday was no different. He moved his record to 6-2 on the season as the Royals were his latest victims. He hurled a solid 7 innings as he struck out 5, allowing just 1 ER. He now has 48 career wins.

I have to mention Ryan Zimmerman of the Nats who hit two more homeruns and now sits at 101 career long balls. He reached the 100 homerun level very quickly and remains the strongest bat in the Nats lineup.
