Leake lowered his ERA down to 3.09 which is impressive, but he has had one area of weakness in that he walks far too many batters. I am sure he will get that under control as he is just 22 and will have some great coaches to help him in the future.
Tim Lincecum kept his perfect season in tact as he moved to 5-0 with the Giants. He lowered his ERA to an almost unbelievable 1.76. He too struggled with some control issues as he walked 5 batters in his eight innings of work. He now has 45 career wins.
Finally, Andy Pettitte joined teammate Philip Hughes with a 5-0 record for the Yankees. His win total continues to rise as he moves up the all time win list. With his victory over the Twins he has now won 234 games and he sits in a tie for 61st all time. The 38 year old has only given up one HR in 45 IP this season and his ERA is 1.79 which is well below his career ERA of 3.87.
