I continue to be frustrated by the KC Royals and their lack of offense. Once again Zach Greinke was spectacular as he threw a gem against the Rays and Wade Davis. The only mistake he made the whole day was giving up a HR to Evan Longoria, other than that he gave up just three hits. His O gave him nothing once again, and his record dropped to 0-3 on the season in six starts. His ERA is now 2.27. Come on Royals get it together and support the best pitcher in the AL.
Justin Verlander threw a beauty yesterday against the Angels as he hurled 8 1/3 of three hit ball. He struck out seven in the outing. Verlander has been inconsistent for most of his career, despite winning 19 last year. He is now 2-2 on the 2010 campaign and picked up #67 of his career.
One other vet I want to applaud for a great start on the season is Jon Garland of the Padres. He picked up his 3rd win of the year and #120 of his career. He has won 10 or more games each of the last eight years. His ERA is a nice and tidy 2.06. maybe it is time to pick him up on my fantasy team.
How many career wins would Greinke have if he played on a team that could help him out? I am going to do some homework to see if I can come up with a best guess.
