Felix Hernandez was also having one of those rough periods as he had not won a game in 41 days. He finally got things back on track with a very solid performance against a tough Twins team. He struck out 9 batters in eight innings of work. His victory was the 3rd of the season and 61st of his career.
Greinke's loss was at the hands of the Angels and Jered Weaver. Jered threw seven innings of shutout ball as he struck out nine batters. I would love to see Jered be a bit more consistent as he does have great stuff, but he needs to bring it every night. With his victory over the Royals Weaver's record is now 5-2 and he has 56 wins.
CC Sabathia had an easy opponent to go against as he faced the hapless Orioles. Sure enough they put up very little resistance as the Yankees manhandled the O's. He did pick up his 5th win of the year and his 141st of his career. He has to love his Yankees bats behind him as his ERA is well over 4.
Brett Anderson the 22 year old A's starter experienced arm problems again and is back on the DL. I hope he can get these arm troubles solved or it could be another young career shortened by injury.
Offensively Andruw Jones found his homerun swing and took another step forward towards 400 HR's. With his 10th of the year he now has 398 for his career. Miguel Cabrera continued his hot hitting as he hit his 225th career longball. The man can hit that is for sure.
